Hi, I’m Hendrike*.

I like making things easier to understand.

I care about accessibility, clear communication and intuitive interactions. My psychology background makes me interested in how people think and behave, while my experience outside design has taught me how to communicate with different people, understand problems from different perspectives and work practically towards a solution.

Background

My background is in psychology, fintech, publishing, and operations, and I’ve always been interested in understanding people and how they interact with the world around them.

After studying Psychology at the University of Bristol, I worked in fintech, where I helped customers navigate complex information and identified ways to improve their digital experience. I then moved into publishing, working across creative, editorial and operational projects, which strengthened my communication, visual, and problem-solving skills.

I eventually decided to bring these experiences and skills together through product design, completing the UX/UI Product Design Career Accelerator at King’s College London. Since then, I’ve worked on a range of projects across research, user journeys, prototyping and visual design, as well as completing a freelance website project. Currently I have recently finished a mini-project developing my AI skills.
